There’s nothing like the emotional rollercoaster of being laid off. You’d think after the third time (once during the dot-com bust, once because of a Lowe power shift, and once recently at Arnold), it’d be old hat for me by now. It’s not.
But I have learned a few survival techniques along the way. This blog will let me share some of those tricks, and serve as an online resource/community/ventspace for anyone who’s been shown the door due to client losses, pullbacks, agency restructuring, or simply because they were fired.
I’ll leave the comments section restriction-free for as long the spam gods allow. Otherwise, I’m open to ideas, suggestions, and any and all anecdotes you might have about being hired and fired over the course of this awesome career you’ve chosen.
Stay tuned….
