Interim Talent Section

fingerdike

We’ve received hundreds of resumes and websites since asking for them a few weeks ago. Honestly, I didn’t realize the amount of data entry it would take to get an interim site up and running. It’s just too much for 1 or 2 people.

Until the real site launches (hopefully in early to mid April), we created a space for you to post your own information. It ain’t sexy, but in the sidebar on the right there are pages for “Ad Talent.” In the comments section, you can post any text you want that would endear yourself to potential employers. Include things like your bio, job history, contact info, and any relevant links (personal website, LinkedIn page, etc.). There aren’t any restrictions, but given that you’re trying to woo employers, be smart about it.

I’ll go first to give you an example. But I would advise following this only loosely. Use your own judgement as to what would be appealing to your field.

Keep in mind that despite the press in AdAge last week, we haven’t done any agency-side PR yet. That will come in tandem with the official launch. Until then, I can’t make any promises about who will be looking at your posts, only that it will go up.

Here we go.

***UPDATE: I have comments set up to keep your email address anonymous. So if you want people to be able to email you directly through the site, include your address IN THE BODY of the comments section. If you just put it in the email field, it won’t be seen.

****UPDATE: Ditto for your web site URL.

*****UPDATE: Please, please, please proofread your entry before submitting. I can’t keep fixing everyone’s posts. In fact, from here on out, I won’t.
