On Tuesday night, Please Feed The Animals held its first-ever Animal Social. Among others, I met a writer who is starting his own shop with a fellow animal, three students who wondered how on earth to break into this business, and someone who offered to do whatever she could to help me match talent with gigs. It was a live, in-person manifestation of what PFTA is all about: optimistically figuring out what’s next, and helping each other get there.
