Here are a couple of logo iterations that reference zoo signage. I’m torn between the classic nature of the first and the designed look of the second. So, I’ll leave it up to you. Which should be PFTA’s new logo, and why?

Classic hands down! IMO:) the second one is hard to read plus the shadow is meh.
i think the classic one fits the personality of your project better, plus, hasn’t the whole ‘reflection-shiny-glossy-ripoff-of-apple’s logo-look-at-me-i’m-web 2.0′ jumped the shark already?
let’s go back to the basics.
Wow. It’s not even close. Thanks everyone for voting. My gut was right, but my indecision was way off.
Wow.
Before I voted and saw the results I didn’t expect them to be so lopsided.
What if you combined the two? Used the second but in the vertical manner of the first?
No comparison.
I like the classic, but the designy one might look better on the web. One request. Don’t do the KFC thing and become PFTA everywhere. Too many abbreviations these days and not enough words.
Oh, come on! The shiny one is darker. Is this like a subliminal ‘vote for the classic one’ thing?
Classic, then make it your favicon!!!
