Some got got laid off and found better shops or started their own agencies.
Others wrote books, opened bakeries, or joined the Peace Corps.
Whatever they’re doing, these are people who were handed a pile of shit and used it as fertilizer. They lost their jobs in advertising, and rather than play the victim, saw an opportunity to do something amazing.
If you’re one of these people, or know someone who is, I want to hear from you. Once the stories and logistics are sorted out, I will be filming some of them for a short documentary, which will run as part of the launch for the new site.
Please send me your story or the story of someone you know to erik@pleasefeedtheanimals.com.
UPDATE 6/8/09: It’s looks like we’re going to start filming next week! So if there’s a story you think HAS to be told, you must let me know ASAP.

@edwardboches An embarrassment of riches. The quality/quantity of stories sent to me in just 24 hours has been amazing. http://bit.ly/3O9S6y

I joined the ranks of the gainfully unemployed four months ago. In addition to networking, web surfing and a few small consultingprojects, I am investigating opportunities in cognitive philanthropy, large-pot poker tournaments, music and technology.
