I originally asked people to write guest posts because I knew that between filming Lemonade and freelancing, this space would have been filled with a lot of dead air.

Once again, dumb luck has fallen upon me. I had no idea people like “Bob Sucra,” Josh Kobrin, my wife, and so many others would have coalesced so beautifully. Despite my intimate knowledge that laid-off-or-otherwise adfolk (and their spouses) are some of the most resourceful and creative people in the world, I somehow underestimated how great the posts would be.

Not to mention, it just reinforced what I wanted Please Feed The Animals to become: A community. And a community isn’t one person casting his opinion upon its inhabitants. It’s a conversation of opionions, with people being bold and vulnerable and smart. Even contradictory and angry at times. But always respectful.

So to everyone who guest posted or commented these last few weeks, you not only picked up my slack, but you unintentionally strengthened our collective relationships. Thank you. And keep them coming.
