Today marks the 1st anniversary of the day I got laid off from Arnold Worldwide. I contemplated an epic post about all that’s happened in such a short time. This blog, filming a movie, freelancing. It’s been nothing if not a wild ride. But rather than reminisce, it seemed more appropriate (not to mention less time consuming) to just take a deep breath and be grateful for the uncertainty. Because whether we’re working for ourselves or someone else, life is nothing more than a series of question marks.
Thank you for reading Please Feed The Animals for the past year. I have no idea what’s next, but I hope you’ll be there.
Cheers, Erik

I seem to recall that there may be a movie coming up in the future.
Thanks for creating a place where we can congregate and create together, Erik. I remember that day. I beat myself up about it until I heard “Erik Proulx got laid off too.” That’s when I realized that lots of talented people were being let go from Arnold that day, that I should stop feeling sorry for myself, and that I needed to start figuring out what to do next.
