November 30, 2009. The day Lemonade will be premiered into this world.
It has been an incredible journey. All of the amazing people who were part of the film…friends, family, and neighbors are all joining us for this special night. I feel like we are having a third child. Ya know, the first trimester is magical and its the miracle of life and everyday is spent in wonderment. Then the second trimester happens..starting to feel a little uncomfortable, worrying about all the things that can go wrong. But, then the third trimester happens, and you are sooooo ready. We’ve done all we can, let’s go – it’s time to push. But my point is, like Greg Thomas talked about in a previous post, having an idea is a lot like having a baby.
It’s such a personal thing and we are so attached to it. I’m nervous, happy, glowing, scared…but, so many people have responded so well to just the trailer. All across the board too…not just advertising. Losing a job is painful. The candor of all who shared their stories on film is amazing. By sharing their stories, they are letting everyone know…you are not alone.
The one thing I keep coming back to during this whole experience (movie, blogging, job site.) are the wonderful comments that people have posted on the blog. I have discovered that sharing a story helps. So many times, when people have a difficult situation to face…they can feel very isolated. At night, thinking about it all can become overwhelming. Sometimes, just knowing that you are not alone makes all the difference.
So, here we are and we are so close. So close. Just 2 weeks away…I am so excited, and grateful doesn’t even begin to describe what I am feeling. This movie…is…well…I can’t wait for you to meet her. Her name is Lemonade, and she’s beautiful…

I can’t wait either. You are doing a great things here.
And you’re hardly showing at all.
Ha Ha! Thank you. I’ve been told I carry it well.
Anxious to see it for sure!
Jeff
I know I’ll be promoting the hell out of this film to everyone on my address lists. I used to work in metro-Detroit, and as everyone knows the ad industry there is getting killed, so I think this film is something a lot of out-of-work (or soon-to-be), talented people could really use right now. Peace.
Ron, thank you. I hope that it can be a positive force in some negative times. I hope everyone finds it as amazing as I do…but, I am slightly biased. All the best.
