Lemonade Pop-Up Screenings

Last Monday, we filled up the Brattle for the premiere of Lemonade, and unfortunately had to turn away almost as many people as attended.

Fact is, venues and after-parties cost money. It’s why we can’t afford to have more than one screening per city. And it’s also why planning starts weeks or months in advance.

But there’s a way to get people to see the film without all the overhead or logistics: Pop Up Screenings.

In this economy, every city has tons of empty retail and warehouse space. And between Twitter, Facebook and word of mouth, I’m uber confident we can fill these spaces without too much advanced warning.

Plus, it just feels right.

So with this blog post, I’m announcing the first of what will be many pop-up screenings for Lemonade. Hope to see you there.

Make sure to sing “Happy Birthday” as soon as Erik stands up to give his intro. :)
