  43. Need someone to save your a**?

I’ve worked at top shops where I’ve developed strong brand campaigns and winning pitches. If you need a freelancer, I come in at a moment’s notice, I stay as long as you need and disappear when the job is done. Need someone full-time? We can talk about that, too. Just know that in the end, because you’ve hired not just a strong art director, but a top-notch conceptual thinker, your business will stay a little more secure in these shaky times.

I’m a recent graduate from the Creative Advertising Program at BYU. There I was the chief creative director of the Ad Lab, the program’s student run agency. During this time I also worked as a graphic designer for an agency that specializes in dental marketing called Sum Media. After I graduated (last year) with a degree in advertising and graphic design, I spent the summer interning at both DDB New York, then Leo Burnett Chicago and had great experiences at both agencies. I also competed this last summer in an international competition for L’Oreal called L’Oreal Brandstorm. We competed first in New York, where we won “Best Creative Campaign” and “Best Overall Campaign”. L’Oreal then flew us to Paris to represent the United States. In Paris, we competed against 39 other countries and also won “Best Creative Campaign” and “Best Overall Campaign”. It was an amazing experience. I then returned to Utah (where I am from) for some personal reasons. I was hired on a temporary basis with an agency called Struck (struckcreative.com) in Salt Lake City where I worked as a Jr. Art Director/Graphic Designer.

I’ve written marketing copy, collateral and emails for Dockers, Perricone skincare, Sephora, Lucy Activewear, TRIA Beauty, Gap online, Lending Tree and Philosophy cosmetics, among others. I’ve written product and SEO copy for Banana Republic, Piperlime shoes and Old Navy.

Before moving to San Francisco five years ago, I lived in New York for ten years where I was an editor for magazines such as Redbook, Elle and Sports Afield. While I managed the research department at Marie Claire, I wrote Does Your Man Need A Makeover?, which inspired tv’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

I recently wrote a novel for teenagers called How Good It Can Be and am shopping it to publishers while I write the sequel.
